Intel SmartTown Partnership
Miller’s Landing is partnering with Intel to bring the SmartTown vision to life through a unique process. Usually, developments are built and tech is added later, however, Miller’s Landing planned technology and construction in tandem. A user design approach was used in planning which translates “day in the life” scenarios into tech needs. For example, residents and visitors will be able to shop at various grocery stores and have their purchases automatically billed to their room or account; everything will be connected.
Environmentally Friendly Development
In addition to offering ease and convenience, Miller’s Landing SmartTown will also be environmentally friendly. With the entire development connected and monitored, resource usage can respond dynamically as occupancy and environmental factors change throughout the day, resulting in only using energy as needed. Heating, cooling, lighting, electronics, and drawn curtains usage can be automated to save energy.
