Water sports grow in popularity, while golf, once one of the hottest sports in America, has been declining in popularity in recent years. Golf courses that once teemed with golfers are now being redeveloped into residential communities. According to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal these communities, which include open space, trails, lakes, ponds and other water features, are attractive to affluent home owners. At Miller’s Landing we’re incorporating these same amenities into our modern multi-use development in Castle Rock, CO.

Castle Rock is a fast-growing Denver suburb located south of the city along the I-25 corridor. It’s consistently ranked as one of the best places to live and start a business in Colorado.

Water Amenities Replace Golf

Today, many home owners who once sought out golf course property instead seek communities that offer access to ample open space and water-based amenities.

A 2019 study by John Burns Real Estate Consulting in Irvine, CA, found that 90 percent of the 50 best-selling master-planned communities in the U.S. had significant water-based amenities. These can include everything from fishing lakes and ponds to canoe courses, lazy rivers, pools and swimming lagoons with sandy beaches.

Miller’s Landing will feature a dynamic resort pool along with a conference and meeting center and unique restaurant/retail space. It’s the ideal place for a relaxing stroll at lunch, to meet with clients, host a meeting or conference, or simply relax after work at a waterside café.

The resort will include a full-service destination spa and banquet facilities to serve area businesses and meet the area’s strong demand for wedding, meeting and catering facilities.

The resort area will also serve as a shopping and entertainment destination for local residents.

An Exciting New Concept

Miller’s Landing is an exciting new mixed-use development that’s transforming a once blighted property into a vibrant town center. Connected to downtown Castle Rock by a walking and biking trail, Miller’s Landing is a walkable multi-use community with ample open space and stunning views of the Colorado Front Range. It’s also within easy walking distance of the area’s premier outdoor recreation park.

Without a doubt it’s one of the best places to open or start a business in Colorado. Join us as we build the future together.
