Site Selection Magazine Gives Colorado High Marks

In Site Selection Magazine’s annual review and rankings of the economic climates of all 50 states, Colorado received consistently high rankings in important business categories. The high ranking only reinforces what many people already know, that Colorado is one of the best places to start or locate a business in the U.S.  One of the top spots to locate your business is Miller’s Landing.

The state’s appeal has led to a number of leading corporations undertaking major projects in Colorado in 2019 including:

  • Southwest Airlines $100 million distribution/warehouse facility
  • Peter Kiewit & Sons $55 million headquarters
  • National Bank Holdings Corp. $12 million headquarters
  • Amazon.com $6 million distribution/warehouse

A Hub of Corporate Satellite Offices and Headquarters

Castle Rock and the south Denver metro area is a major hub for corporations including Arrow Electronics, Liberty Media and Charles Schwab. The region’s rating as a desirable place to live and well-educated workforce continue to draw companies.

Recently, the Denver metro area ranked ninth in the latest Tech Town Index from CompTIA, the trade association for IT companies and professionals. Factors used to compile the list include the number of available IT jobs and the cost of living. Denver is one of the few cities on the list expected to have double-digit growth in IT jobs, with a projected growth of 11 percent in the next five years.
